We’ve done a lot of interesting repair work this spring here at Murphy’s. There have been several acoustic guitars that have required bridge re-sets or replacement of the entire bridge. We even had a nice Taylor guitar in with a cracked top and back that required a pretty hefty repair to seal and cleat the cracks. When we were done, you had to look very closely to even see where the cracks had been and the customer said the guitar had never sounded so good since he had acquired the instrument. We are Fender Certified as a repair shop which means that we had to pass some pretty rigorous testing and meet all the requirements for the Fender Corporation. We are also endorsed by Crate, Ampeg, Mackie, Kustom and Alvarez as a warranty service center for their products. Just this week we had a client who brought in a large Behringer studio mixing console that had died in a puff of smoke. Joe, our electronic service tech, discovered that two capacitors on the main board of the console had fried and was able to repair the mixer and get the studio back up and running in just a few short days. We take great pride in getting your repair back to you in a timely manner, often the same day on simple jobs. You can trust Murphy’s to take great care of your instrument or amp repair.
